GRACE KIDS
Every Sunday at 9am we offer Sunday school classes for all kids up to fifth grade. We want our children to know and love Jesus. We strive to communicate to each child how the Bible is a cohesive and true story about Jesus Christ, provide a systematic interaction with sound doctrine and promote a solid framework for a missional worldview and Christ-like living.
0 - 4 YEARS
The nursery provides a safe and engaging environment as children learn short and simple facts about God, His Word, and creation taken from the Jesus Storybook Bible.
Kindergarten - 2nd GRADE
Our classes for Kindergarten through 2nd grade will learn Bible stories at an age-appropriate level using the Gospel Story curriculum. As our children grow, they become familiarized with God’s overarching plan of salvation and are taught how to connect each Bible story to God’s larger plan of redemption. They will learn to see that all Scripture, all that God has done, and all He is doing directly points them to Jesus.
3rd - 5TH GRADE
Our pre-teens learn from the Gospel Project curriculum each week. This is a chronological study plan from Genesis to Revelation that unites Scripture’s big story and themes. Each lesson includes an engaging activity, small group discussion questions, and a memory verse.
MAKING JESUS KNOWN IN THE HOME
At Grace Hewitt, we believe that the most effective way to show Jesus to a child is to model the effects of the gospel in day to day life. This means the goal of Grace Kids ministry is to equip our parents to foster a culture of discipleship. We eagerly encourage parents to teach and volunteer on Sunday mornings during our Sunday School Hour, so they can practice what family equipping looks like at home.
